Dena Evans

Dena has three decades of experience in coaching and education. A track and field All-American, she became a middle school teacher after graduating from Stanford. A collegiate coaching career followed from 1999-2005, including leading the Stanford Women’s Cross-Country team to an NCAA Championship and becoming 2003 NCAA Coach of the Year. Since then, she has been a member of eight Team USATF international meet coaching staffs, worked with the Bay Area Women’s Sports Initiative (BAWSI) in East Palo Alto and Redwood City, and directed the Bay Area Running Camp. Dena also has served on the Playworks Silicon Valley Regional Board and the Pacific Association of USATF Board of Athletics and Foundation Board.
